About Susan Lett
Susan Lett, a passionate fiber artist, draws inspiration from the invaluable lessons instilled by her mother. Among these teachings, the profound gift of instilling a passion for creation resonates the strongest. From a tender age, Susan has been immersed in the world of sewing and quilting. Now, embracing retirement from a full-time career in management, Susan is at the intersection of a lifelong dream – the unrestrained pursuit of contemporary fiber arts.
Using hand-dyed fabrics as a personalized canvas and threads as a vibrant palette, Susan employs a diverse range of techniques in each piece. Despite a rich history of crafting numerous quilts this new journey in fiber arts is merely in its nascent stages. Fueled by an insatiable curiosity, Susan eagerly embraces the prospect of continuous learning and the exploration of new techniques, each endeavor aimed at elevating her work to greater heights.
Susan’s nationally award-winning work has been exhibited throughout Canada and in the US. Her article and 3-part series titled “Through the River Valley” will be published in 2024 spring edition of The Canadian Quilters Association Magazine. These early accomplishments serve as both recognition and as a source of encouragement to delve deeper into the boundless realms of fiber arts. Her latest quilt, Neon Alley was a finalist in the judged International Quilt Show held in Houston, 2024.
