Ekphrastic

Elegy floods my mind with memories of my father's best friend. He and I shared love for horses and open country. He was complex. Intelligent. His laughter echoed for miles. Many called Frank friend, but his heart was kept secret for only a few. Worshiped by horses and dogs. Always missed.
