20/20 Vision

This piece is inspired by a visit and mini family reunion that took place in the summer of 2018 in Sequim, Washington. The lavender fields and farms were everywhere. The company delightful and there were many photo ops. The image of the two red chairs was so powerful and inviting to me and was perfect to create an out of focus image. I have always had poor vision and got my first glasses at 5 years old. I always thought of my fuzzy vision as a secret super power. Slip off my glasses and the world is softer, colours slightly muted, and the points of light are brilliant stars. I wanted to show the beauty of both ways of seeing. Sometimes it is better not to see TOO clearly.
