Ekphrastic

The inspiration for this piece comes from the poem called "raven." I wanted to interpret the girl in the poem, a girl on the street and at her most vulnerable. I wanted to remind the girl in the poem that she was not alone and that the raven was part of her. In this moment the raven is calling her to release herself from this state of being. The bird is inviting her to new flights of spiritual awareness and creativity.
