Roadside Glances

Roadside Glances refers to the quick imagery that passes by our sight line as we drive along in our travels. My husband and I take several annual motorcycle trips throughout Western Canada and I, the passenger, practice the art of image gathering. This piece is a collage of the beauty in the colours and textures that we pass by.
Materials: hand dyed cotton fabric, cotton velvet fragments, cotton embroidery floss, linen/cotton backing, repurposed blanket as batting
Technique: hand dying, hand stitching
