GeoPhysical

This piece was created for the show Geophysical held in Calgary in 2010. I saw this photo of a piece of granite from the Smithsonian Museum and was instantly smitten. It looked like a wonderful abstract painting with the veins of gold running through it and the intense earth colours. I was able to use this photo with the permission of the photographer Thad Zajdowicz of Washington, DC.
