Sisters
Using fabrics that I created and strip sets contributed by my quilting bee friends, I created this improvisational piece. It represents my friendship with this interesting and diverse group of women. Although we are very different we find common bonds through our work together and our love of textiles. They are like my sisters. I laugh and cry with them. I care for them. I count on them. They enrich my life.
Hand dyed, hand painted and commercial cottons, cotton batting and metallic threads; machine pieced and machine quilted
