Fibre Fantasy

This piece was influenced by the Alberta springtime prairie environment near my Cochrane, Alberta home. The seasonally-varying, visually rich colours, textures and moods provide me with a wealth of inspiration for my representational leather fibre artwork. I created my leather tapestry using colourful overlapping layers of hand cut leather and thread strips that are knotted together and attached to a driftwood header. These tactile free flowing layers create sculptural depth in my artwork.
