Vancouver: Embraced by the Pacific, Cradled by the Mountains

Creation of this quilt awakened fond and happy memories of an important event in my family's life. In 1968 we immigrated to Canada and chose Vancouver as our destination--from a poster on the wall of the Canadian Embassy! Vancouver was the most beautiful city with the bay in the foreground and magestic backdrop of the mountains.

The quilt is a composite of Vancouver skylines with a sculpture of the crab fountain in front of the Planetarium. The people from a 1976 photo are my daughter Regina, my dad, and I.
