Water Lilies Coast to Coast

Though I am a prairie girl, I have travelled to both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Canada. Mild coastal climates allow water lilies to flourish in lakes and streams"something not seen in my own dry, cold climate. This painted whole-cloth quilt is loosely based on photos of lilies growing wild in Vancouver, British Columbias Stanley Park, and in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, at opposite ends of our country, thousands of miles apart.
