Play is research: investigating, experimenting and learning. Values are combined with shapes, layers and textures. Focusing on one colour brings a depth of excitement to the process and evokes feelings and emotions associated with that colour.

Materials: Assorted papers including tissue and napkins, muslin base, GAC 900, cotton fabric, wool batting.

Techniques: Various torn papers were collaged onto a muslin base using GAC 900 as an adhesive, machine quilting on both the paper/fabric and cotton background.
