Stairwell Rehearsal was inspired by a photo taken in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. It was taken at Bellas Artes, the city art and cultural centre, where many musicians take lessons and perform. As I headed down the stairs of the building, I saw a violinist playing in the open air stairwell. Techniques for this piece include inkjet printing on silk, fused silk and tulle fabrics, Shiva Paintsticks™, machine thread painting and machine quilting.

Stairwell Rehearsal has been juried into the 2024 Grand National Exhibition, DELIGHTS.
