West Coast Canada is known for its Forest Giants. In my childhood I ran wild for the month of July on Gambier Island. Although t[^x00-x7f]he trees there werent the giants of Cathedral Grove, they gave me the ongoing love of the forest. This particular scene was inspired by a note card painted by Linda Frimer titled Sanctuary. It is hand painted cotton, appliqu, confetti technique and thread painting. I hope you will enjoy one little snapshot of Canada!
