Barbara Root

Thie piece of art was commissioned by Janine Reid of New Westminster, B. C.  Her intent was to use this piece of art to cover theT.V. in her newly decorated living room.  The exact measurements were specified, and the use of green and coral was requested.  A contempory style was suggested, using gentle swaying movments and curves.

Techniques include:  raw edge applique, machine quilting on a domestic machine, with hand embroidery.  Constucted using cotton and batik fabrics, Superior threads, and needle punch batting.
