As the average arctic temperature raises the amount and thickness of sea ice is decreasing. Even though the polar bear appears to be the most immediately effected species, the rise in sea levels will have far ranging effects worldwide, such as loss of habitable land, change in ocean currents, desalination of the oceans and extreme climate change. Times are changing and not just for the polar bear. Is there still time to arrest this trend?
