“Birds We Love To Hate: Black Billed Magpie”
$100
8"W x 8"L
Dyed cotton and painted satin, raw edge applique with decorative stitching, batted and quilted. |
Considered pests, the Black-Billed Magpie survives by pilfering the eggs and nestlings of other birds. They're just trying to make a living! I love their high contrast plumage and their shimmering iridescence.
From the FAN exhibit "For The Birds".
