This mixed media piece is the first in a series of small works incorporating a damask image. Layers and depth were created on fabric using Inktense blocks, gesso, acrylic paints and stencilling. After layering onto felt handstitching was added using a single strand of embroidery floss in muted shades of grey, ochre, olive and gold.
