Thelma Newbury

At 2pm on December 20, 2018 the 100 year old White Rock Pier was damaged by a severe storm.  Winds swept across Semiahmoo Bay tearing boats from their moorings.  The fierce winds and turbulent seas slammed at least four boats into the pier causing four sections to be torn apart.  This artwork depicts the scene on a calmer day with 9/10^th of the pier still standing.
