Visitors to the Prairies never fail to comment on how big the sky seems, or how the land feels like it goes on forever. Yet it's more than just land and sky: abundant textures, soft colours and long light on summer evenings also make it home. Poster Child is an interpretation of the wide horizon and over arching skies that people think of as typical prairie. 

The sky is hand-painted acrylic on stretched silk. The land is hand-made chenille, using 9 layers of silk and commercial cottons in various weights.
