Terri Van Sleuwen

This piece was created for my niece, a young woman with many beautiful tattoos. I wanted to create a unique piece of art for her that was inspired by one of her tattoos - a cluster of rose blooms with a glass vial containing crystals hanging from the flower branch. 

It includes various shades of white, pink and black cotton fabrics raw edge fused to a background fabric with tulle overlayed in the area of the flowers, free motion quilting and acrylic paint were added to ehance the flowers and the text.

The words were inspired by @lisacongdon, an artist from the Portland, WA area.
