This was a challenge project where each participant was given a rust-orange coloured scarf to be used in the textile art design of their choice. I enjoyed working with silk scarves that I collected from thrift stores. After the silk was backed with lightweight iron-on interfacing it was much easier to work with this material. The top, the batting, and the backing were all silk products.

Materials: Silk scarves, silk batting, and lightweight iron-on interfacing.

Techniques: Machine pieced and free motion quilting.
