Tipping Point Future is the most recent work in a series exploring the use of earth pigments and soymilk to make paint. I am deeply drawn to the process of transtorming natural materials - pigment from the earth and soybeans into paint. After air curing, the paint becomes waterproof, UV resistent and provides perfect sizing for a medium that behaves much like watercolour. Its fluidity, permanence and connection to the land have made it an essential part of my art practice. 

Felted wool fibres and silk were used to create the women on the rocks, comtemplating an uncertain  future that is not all that clear. Have we reached an environmental tipping point we cannot come back from?
