Yvonne Bilan-Wallace is a mixed-media artist whose work explores the relationships between nature, material and process. Using both traditional and experimental techniques, she works with fibre, pigments and found materials to create expressive works. Her studio practice embraces curiosity, play and transformation, treating materials as collaborators. Through this approach, her work often invites reflection on environmental responsibility, the beauty of unexpected connections and presenting the familiar in unexpected ways.  Each idea carries it own story. For Yvonne the challenge and joy lie in finding a fusion of mediums – with paint, stitch and felting and more  –  that will bring that story to life. 

Her award-winning textile and felted works have been exhibited both across Canada and internationally.
