Walking along a narrow cobblestone street in Old Quebec City, I happened upon an extensive display of colourful, fun umbrellas hung high above Rue du Cul-de-Sac.  I immediately realized that these umbrellas were ideal images to reflect my views about Canadian culture. 

Under a Canadian Umbrella was designed to symbolize the essence of our Canadian way of life.  A single umbrella represents the diversity and uniqueness of each individual. Each colour collection represents diverse groups within our country.  The entire collection of umbrellas represents the inclusion of all Canadians.  Canadian diversity empowers each of us to use our differences to create something better, together.
