My love for all things fibre and textiles is in my genes with ancestors who were weavers, seamstresses, knitters, crocheters, quilters and embroiderers. I really enjoy exercising my skills in all those techniques.  In the early 1980’s, I was predominately a weaver, knitter and hand spinner. I also dabbled in quilting, becoming more serious in the 2000’s. In the 2000’s, I became fascinated with colour on fabric – using pre-mixed dyes and exploring botanical printing. Today I enjoy drawing from my own hand-dyed as well as commercial fabrics for my projects. More recently, I have been exploring dyeing wool, feltmaking and contemporary embroidery.
