Waterworks

Arctic Oil Spill was inspired by my concern over the future of commercial traffic in the Arctic Ocean. As I designed this art piece, the silk fabric strongly suggested bands of oil slick, whereas the fractured pattern of dye on the cotton suggested an underlying, affected ice flow.
