Threads of Hope

In 2017, 367 people died of an overdose in Alberta. My son Kevin was one. Those suffering from the disease of addiction have little hope. Detox-rehab-new start-failure-street-overdose-hospital, and back again in a never-ending, unbreakable cycle. For most the cord of hope is torn, frayed down to an ungraspable thread, not nearly strong enough to break the chains that bind them. Yet Hope whispers "try one more time".
