Whirling Dervish I – Whirling Dervish II

This year I have been like a Whirling Dervish due to a knee replacement that has not gone as well as I had anticipated. It has been a year of major ups, downs, and arounds. A Whirling Dervish is a dancer of Turkish Sufi Muslim origin that dances in a whirling spinning manner seemingly directionless. The main design of these pieces is also derived from the paisley motif, known as boteh, in the Sufi religion.
