In consultation with the website committee and with experience from the last exhibit, “Resist” the file naming format for photos for entries for UPCLOSE has been changed.
The new format will include the name of the exhibit first, making it easier to retrieve the images from the website. There were some issues with this for the Resist exhibit and it created extra work for the organizers and the website committee.
The new format will be: Name of exhibit_Last name_First name_Title_of_work.jpg. EG. UpClose_Doe_Jane_Microscopic_Mystery.jpg
This is an important change. Entries that do not conform to this and the other criteria for photos (size, focus, cropping) must be deleted by the organizers and the artist will be notified to re-enter using the correct format. The information is all in the entry form under exhibit details so please review this carefully before submitting your entry.
The few entries that have already been submitted have been changed to the new format.

I just sent in an entry, and then tried to correct it to add the photo and then re-name the photo (sorry, I didn’t do it properly) and it won’t let me. Apologies. What do I do now?

Hi Trudy,
I looked at your photo and you do need to rename it. You have not included your name on the photo so it will be difficult to find. I will have to delete your entry and ask you to redo it as you are right, it won’t let you edit the entry once submitted.

When I looked at my entry I realized I have entered the wrong photo. Where can I send the correct one?

My entry for Up Close didn’t up load. I followed the new format. Perhaps my photo was too large?
