We made it flying, driving and/or ferrying.

Let the conference begin. It was like a wonderful reunion, everyone hugging and catching up on a year’s worth of stories.

We welcomed five first-timers to FAN conferencing. Let’s hope they have an amazing four days.

We had a round of applause for our organizers.  Many hands make light work.

Dale regaled us with a recounting of the start of FAN.  There wree just a few in attendance at this conference who were at the first one.

Dale also introduced us to the ‘Doodle Stitch’ project.  It was down to some serious stitching right away with our mini sewing kits we brought along.

This first evening was spent doing our annual Artwork Exchange.  It ran very smoothly and the projects were incredible. This year there were many projects that were not the traditional 2D – several vessels, bowls, books, etc. that were exchanged.

Sharon and Karen told a short story about their art pieces.

That’s a wrap, first day is done, early to bed for everyone, it is a long day ahead tomorrow.
