Variations on a Grid #2 Paper
NFS
26.5"W X 41.5"H
My first "Variations on a Grid" was inspired by a tile wall hanging I saw in Oaxaca. While working on it, I thought - "Wow, I could do a second version using the hand-made paper I bought in Oaxaca." The natural fibres and colours used to create the hand-made paper are reflected in the stamping and stitching on the 'tiles'. The linen background was a beautiful complement to the textures of the paper.
