This wall hanging was made as a gift to our wonderful son, Kevin, and his lovely bride, Lynn for the 'happily ever after'.  They had gone on a trip to Hawaii in the early Spring, and returned engaged.  Kevin had arranged a wonderful surprise party at the Empress upon their return, The party was a surprise for Lynn, as well as for family and friends.  What a lovely gesture for our son to put so much effort into such a wonderful evening.  Kevin even had a very special "volcanoe" cake made to represent their trip, and their love.   Rings had been added as decoration, as well as a bear.  The bear had been added to represent their first date when a bear wandered onto the beach where they had been swimming and sun bathing.  They quickly threw all their belongings into the boat and made a quick exit.

Supplies:  quilting cottons, organza, silks, numerous stitches and black fabrics were used.
