Quilt Created for my Grandson. I had the opportunity to play with cork fabrics while designing this interactive wall quilt. I found the cork wonderful to sew and paint, hence creating the dinosaurs. As my grandchildren were in the studio with me, they were playing with the "flat", wobbly dinosaurs. So I stuffed them for them to play with while I was creating the background. I did some machine embroidery of other dinosaurs, painted with fabric paints and pencils, and finished with thread painting. The dinosaurs were them attached with Velcro, and the children could then pull them off when desired!

This art quilt was juried into 2020 CQA National Show, but it was the pandemic and cancelled. The following year it was automatically juried into 2021. By that time, our Grandson was too attached to his beloved art quilt to have us take it off his bedroom wall and send it off. Crocodile tears won over and we chose to pull it out of the juried show.
