About Bernadette Yuzik
I am a retired nurse, dog lover & nature lover and artist.
I have taken workshops through the years and been inspired by the talented teachers and students. Each artist and quilter I have met, has gifted me with inspiration, which leads me to go down the rabbit hole when I am in my studio, where many hours pass.
I began sewing at age 8, creating clothing and gifts. This passion lasted throughout my life. I was introduced to quilting in the late 90’s and subsequently art quilting in the early 2000’s. It seemed a natural flow of my love of fabric and art. Hence, I love creating our beloved animals with fabric, thread and some paint! My work tends to be more realistic. I do enjoy a challenge! I likely will never cease to be amazed, how an art piece will unfold. From thought to product, flowing with the changes. I have always been keen to draw and paint from a very early age and taken classes in drawing and painting.
I have humbly been juried into Canada’s CQA National show, La Conner, Washington, and The Grand National Fibre
Art Exhibition ” Delights”.
