Terri Van Sleuwen

A modern woven piece inspired by thoughts of the Fibonacci Sequence. 

This piece includes "paper fabric" I created using various types of paper collaged and enhanced with acrylic paint, stencils and stamps and commerical cotton fabric woven together using the Fibonacci Sequence as a guide for the size of the warp and weft strips. Circles that were overlayed on the woven fabric are also in sizes that follow the Sequence. Straight line and scribbly machine stitches were added in different stitch lengths and thread weights to emhasize the weave and the circles.
