On the Prairies, the 1930s were known as the ‘Dirty Thirties’. Drought and poor farm practices led to dust storms that carried tons of soil as far east as the Atlantic Ocean. This work commemorates the thousands of farmers whose homesteads were abandoned, and who lost everything.
This artwork was produced for the FAN exhibition 'On The Wind', and was exhibited in the 2-person exhibition Landed with Sharon Willas-Rubuliak.
