Cindi Plant

This piece was submitted and accepted into the 2016 My Heritage Show of Edmonton's Focus on Fibre Art Association.  Growing up in the 60's meant being introduced to sewing through my grandmother, several aunts, and of course, home economics in school.  This piece was a first attempt at mixed media:  it is a bonafide quilted piece mounted in a wooden frame, but it includes a variety of other elements such as candy wrapper foil, metallic netting, dress pattern tissue and metal rings to name a few.  It has been painted, stamped, stencilled and hand stitched.
