Cindi Plant

This began as a whole cloth batik painting...freehand with flowers in mind.  I liked the colours but not the composition, so I cut it up, rearranged the pieces and sewed them together.  Still not happy with it,  I cut it up again and settled on this composition. The free motion quilting of flowers on top of it all was accomplished by drawing it out on tracing paper and stiching through the trace as a guide.
