Old machinery, left over from farming and brick manufacture, lies in the fields around Grand Forks. The heavier pieces are partially burried in the soil, and grasses and weeds grow around and through them. Rust and lichens decorate and speckle the surfaces with browns, yellows, tans, and greens. The wood pieces have separated and are fairly decomposed by now. From an image of early 20th Century brick machine.
