I was enchanted by the breathtaking views of the layered Rocky Mountains above St. Mary's Lake in Waterton-Glacier National Park. Heavily crumpled fabric suggests the rough trunk of the tree; the shimmering leaves are double layered and attached to the background through the veins, while the fireweed clamours for attention among the wildflowers in the foreground.
