About Dianne Firth
Artist Statement
Dianne Firth is an accomplished fibre and mixed media artist as well as a quilter in a more traditional role.
Although working with wool and felt is a favourite, many sessions include fabric and dye work, as well as heating and melting of various materials. Some of her work includes a variety of materials, anything from glass work to tree bark. A wide range of experimentation has resulted in the creation of many of Dianne’s art pieces, always willing to try a new method.
Dianne’s work is inspired by interactions with everyday living as well as travels, always wondering what would happen if I were to make it into art…?
