Although Nan trained as an engineer and had a 35 year career, she has always been fascinated by the artistic world and worked with fibre from a young age. The opportunity to live in Europe for 8 years gave her time to focus on her artwork. During this time, she studied under several extraordinary teachers, greatly expanded her knowledge and understanding of art, both historic and modern, and began to develop her own voice. Her work reflects her love of colour and movement and always has a strong backstory that is meaningful to her.
