Boating on Great Slave Lake

Several of the early arrivals had most of the day to explore Yellowknife on our own.  Sharon A made arrangements for some of us to enjoy a boat trip and tour on the lake.  Carlos was a fantastic guide with much information on the history of the area and tons of fun entertaining stories.

Houseboats galore, no permits needed, no taxes, water from the lake and solar panels.

Government wharf, speed boating back, rev the engine.

We popped into the Glassworks  for a quick visit.

After the boat trip we walked to the Sungod Trading post to warm up with hot drinks.

Our lunch was at Bullocks Bistro with the best fish and chips ever.  We didn’t bring our sharpie to sign the wall, maybe next time.
