Learning to Weave

At our monthly meeting we had a tapestry expert, Trish, who taught everyone the basics and beyond of weaving on a simple loom.  The looms were prepared ahead of the meeting with a few modifications added on the meeting day.  Trish provided the tapestry yarn and a very interesting bobbin tool for everyone to use and take home.  A cartoon (pattern) was also given out to follow along. She floated around the room giving advice and personal lessons where needed.  Everyone really enjoyed the experience even though they didn’t get very far on the project.  It will be homework to bring back finished for next month.

Terri was so into this she achieved to farthest on her project and reported that she took it home and has only about a quarter to still weave.

Looks like everyone was really focused on the project. Did everyone have the same pattern? Will you post the weavings when they’re done? I’m haven’t done this and I’m curious to see the results.

    Thank you for the post.
I appears to have been a very good day of weaving. What a great group project.
