Susan has been sewing since she was a small child, however it wasn’t until retirement and a fight with breast cancer that she had the time to learn to quilt.   Susan now creates fibre art pieces, melding her interests and love of photography, nature and family with her creations. Susan also designs and creates wearable art jackets.  Traditional quilting has been relegated to making baby quilts for new family members and NICU donation quilts.         Susan’s work has been a prize winner at the juried Arizona Quilters Show, Mesa, Arizona and shown at other Arizona shows.  At home her work has been juried into Gallery Vertigo and Vernon Art Gallery and shown at numerous other venues.  Her whole cloth piece ‘Serendipity’ was juried into the Grand National Fibre Art Exhibition (Canada) in 2019. Her work is held in private collections across Canada, USA and Japan.
