A long professional career as a metrorologist saw Yvonne witness dramatic changes in weather, society and the natural environment of the Canadian arctic. Nature, disruptions to the natural rhythms, unintented consequences of human action and ensuing global chaos continue to reappear as themes in her artistic voice.  The last decade has been an exciting artistic journey for her, as she can now combine her love of science and learning with exploring new avenues of artistic expression.  As a mixed media artist, her work often uses digital design, felting, plants (ecoprinting), natural dye and inking techniques on textiles and paper  to tell her stories. She exhibits in Alberta, across Canada and internationally.
